Breakfast/Lunch at Upper Seletar Reservoir

What do you do during the long festive season...? Enjoy life obviously!
Quality of life... as I mentioned after buying the car.

The whole event was ad-hoc... my wife was preparing to go out for breakfast this morning, probably some where nearby or some of our regular breakfast area for our weekend meal, when I suggested otherwise! Proposed that we do something special today; having breakfast at somewhere "unique".

My take...? Let eat nasi lemak at a park or reservoir!
Yes, we ended up at Upper Seletar Reservoir eating nasi lemak for breakfast/lunch!

I enjoyed the trip very much today. Hope my wife also did. Much difference from the regular breakfast routine. Now that's what you call LIFE!

More trips to the nature or such places in the future. :)

Ha... Well, this is a common phrase you hear at times. Criticising the other party for taking a very long time to finish up the thing he/she needs to do.

Hmm... but you would not be able to use that during the last few days... cos it's Christmas today!

My wife and I went to catch a midnight movie (Sherlock Holmes) last night. Reaching home at 2+am... Not a bad show though.

Going to wife's aunt house for a mini Christmas party later.

The Lucky Winner is...

She was in total shock... She was trembling... She was so happy...
I was describing my wife's reaction when she found that she was the lucky draw winner during her company's D&D. Her prize? A 55" TV! (Do we actually have space for that in our house?!? ha)
This is her 1st time winning anything from lucky draws.


It's quite amazing... But I guess someone has to win. Why not her?!? :)

Hmmm... I had my fair share as well. I remembered I won a 1st prize few years back during my company's D&D too! It was a good feeling.

Luck must be on her (or our) side... That's why I went to bet $$$ on the 4D lottery today...
Unfortunately... sigh... all kana makan (lost)... Guess my wife and I should stick with lucky draws...

It's a CURSE

Gary Mabbutt, former Spurs captain, was in town last few days. The Singapore Spurs Supporters' Club organised a meet up session at Clarke Quay in conjunction with a "live" telecast Spurs game on Sat. It's a Spurs vs Wolves game. I decided to join the fun with my wife.
As we were approaching Clarke Quay, I was still joking with my wife that whenever I goes to watch a live Spurs game outside with the Spurs fans, Spurs always lost. Well... this time round Spurs was on the fly, Wolves was almost bottom of table and Spurs was at home! It's unlikely anything unfortunate will happen...

But the unfortunate thing really happened on that night... Spurs lost 0-1 to Wolves... It's a CURSE...

That will be the last Spurs game I will watch outside...

World Cup 2010 Draw

Another 4 years again... It's time for World Cup, the biggest tournment in soccer calendar.
The coming WC2010 will be held in South Africa. Hmmm... should I make a trip and see my 1st World Cup match live in a stadium?? Ha...

I remembered my 1st World Cup tournment watched on TV was way back in 1982 when it was held in Italy! Then I was still a kid watching with my Dad in the mid of the night. :)

1982, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006... now 2010...
It will be my eighth World Cup... wow... getting old...
