Birthday Gifts for My Dear

Did I ever mentioned that my wife's birthday falls on the same day as my brother's?
Ha... maybe that was the pre-requisite to be my GF initially. :p

This is the first year we planned to have a celebration together though. We had the birthday dinner 2 weeks back.

Checked out the birthday presents I got for my wife this year...
(Well... I don't really get her presents every year though)

New Soccer Boots! My 3rd...

It's been a long time since I last played soccer on a field... To be precise, I talked about that during Dec 08... how I did not play for ~2years...

And since then it's another 2 years... Played once in 4 years?!? No wonder I'm getting fat!
Few weeks back, I watched some colleagues playing some games. That re-ignited my passion of playing soccer again! Since my old boots are spoilt, I was hoping to get a new one! Anyway I just got my bonus... :p

Finally I got my new boots yesterday!! A white Adidas Predator! Wow! Shiok ah, can play soccer again! I owned around 6~7 pairs before. But this is just the 3rd boots that I ever bought.
I remembered my first pair of boots was bought when I was in secondary school. Of course paid by my parents... I have to beg them to get me that. I remembered it was a "Patrick" brand. Pretty hard and uncomfortable. Nevertheless, it was special since that was my first!

Subsequently, I got my boots from friends when gave away their old ones. I'm a poor student, what do you expect?!? haha

I remembered mending the boots when they were spoilt. Especially when the fronts were "opened" or split. I think I will just get a new one if this happens nowadays... That's the difference between studying and working...

The 2nd boot I purchased is a Umbro (showed in the 1st picture). I got that during my working days, but was targeting a cheap one to use it for a short time. It was not very comfortable.
I only wore it for 2~3 time only... And it was spoilt.

This time round, I wanted to get a relatively ok one... :) Adidas is one of my favorite brand.
However I did not expect to end up with a white boots though! I was thinking of a traditional black. Somehow, I just cannot get the design I want and sizes... and my wife happened to pick this up... "How about this pair and it's your size". Hmmm... "Looks good..." I said. My budget was $150, but this boots costed me $56 only.
After getting this pair, I'm getting more and more happier after looking and trying on it!
Looks pro huh? hahaha...
