Final Fitting

Today is the final fitting for our wedding gowns and suits. It should be an exciting session as we move closer to our actual wedding date on Sept.

Well... somehow it did not went as smooth as expected...
Not that my Dear don't look beautiful in her gowns, not that I don't look handsome on my suits... :p
Nor that the bride shop service is bad.

Sigh... just that I was on the phone for almost the whole afternoon during the fitting. :(
It's pretty depressing...

I was busy settling some urgent work stuff with customers. Yes, someone might say... "Wah lau, million dollar deal?? So busy meh??"

YES... to be precise... about 7 million deal... Satisfied now?!!
Of course, these money does not go into my pocket. But I am employed to close deals, in this case, in a given timeline.

Timing is just bad... The RFQ has to be closed by this week. This is made worse with key customer going on leave, last minute requests... Remember, I had this fitting appointment fixed long time back.

The bridal shop helpers are waiting for me to try the clothing while I was on call. Everyone seem a bit annoyed. My future mother-in-law was there too, wondering what the heck am I doing?

Sigh, lucky my GF seem more understanding. She was trying to keep her mood good despite my "disappointing attitude". I was trying to be "happy" as well...

:) See, smiling... #@!%$&!

End of BPL Season 2007/08

Last weekend marked the last game of this season's English Premier League. Spurs ended the season with a 0-2 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool and finished in 11th position. Well... I was not too upset though. Basically I felt our season was done when we won the League Cup final which helped to secure an UEFA Cup place next season.
We had a pretty bad start to the season which resulted in Martin Jol been sacked and in came Juande Ramos. We fought up the league table to prevent from being relegated. Good thing we won a cup as well. If not, it will be yet another frustrating season.

Check out Spurs next season playing kits!

Before next season starts, we have already signed our first player in the summer. He is Luka Modric, a Croatian playmaker, who costed us ~$16M pound! Is he that good?? I'm a bit skeptical about such of "big" signings after having some bad experiences from Spurs recent purchases. Furthermore, I never heard about this player before this happened. Or I'm just too ignorant?

I checked out him on YouTube. Unfortunately not that impressive from what I observed... But articles seem to be praising him a lot.

I wonder if this signing is Ramos' or Damien Comolli's decision.

I read an article about an Everton fan talking about us (Spurs). On how we managed to throw tons of money away on players who cannot deliver in recent times. And mock at us for always having false hope on attaining Champion's League placing etc with "these" signings. I will be wary about this curse next season again. Let's hope the new player, Modric, prove me very wrong...

Come on you Spurs!

Hot Stuff

It's sizzling hot since last couple of days, and this will likely continue in the next few months. Couple months ago I was just talking about raining season, now it's burning hot weather.

I have to turn on the air-con every night to be able to get to sleep. If not, I will be sweating even after bathing...

Wonder how much is my electricity bill this month. Ironically the government is promoting energy saving campaign recently. Hmmm... will people support the campaign and bear the heat without using air-con? I certainly failed... :p

Damn warm...

May Day

May Day... May Day...

Well, it's Labour Day (May Day) and I was also calling for help. :p

I got a wooden blind from IKEA couple weeks back, but did not fix it up until today. It was something which I thought would fit nicely at one of my house's side window. True enough, perfect match. :) Check it out! Err... just a bit slanted (after lot of sweats)...

Nice huh?
It was a "big" project. Two drill kits were employed... My mum was my assistant. And I took around an hour to drill 2 holes for the screws... Ha... Must be the pillar issue. I'm handyman to my GF lor. :p
Labour Day today? Yah sure, I definitely used a lot of my labour today. Sweating my way out... Guess I shall stick with my pen and laptop. :p

Err... Last but not least, I hope the blind can hold at least for the next 6 months...
