Dimitar Berbatov - Pure Class

He cost Spurs a neat $10.9 million pound last season; transferred from Bayer Leverkusen. But no one have doubted that it was money well-spent down to every single penny. Berbatov is by far one of the best Tottenham player the club had acquired in recent years after Klinsman and Ginola.

These two seasons have seen Berbatov had slow starts but coming stronger in the later part of the season. His touches are simply classy. His hold play is good. His killer touches are lethal. He just scored 4 goals against Reading in a pulsating BPL game (Spurs won 6-4).
Berbatov's ability has no question attracted lots of attention from the big clubs inside England or in Europe. There is endless speculation linking Berb to clubs like Man Utd who offers Champion's League football. Spurs fans will plead Berb to stay and hope that the club will do all its best to keep their star player happy here. It will not be just be about money, but the ambition and achievement Spurs has and will achieve. Everyone is disappointed how the team has defended this few seasons, we can understand Berb's frustration on that. We cannot expect him to keep scoring classic goals while our defense is always leaking; we will never win... So come on, let's do something on our defense before he totally give up on the club! We cannot afford to lose another key player and rebuild again. We need to build on.

While we still cannot offer Champion's League football to Berb, we do hope the passion of our fans can melt his heart... Come on you, Spurs!

Christmas Party!

Jingle bell... jingle bell... jingle all the way...
Ho Ho Ho... Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas time... My GF and I decided, a few days earlier, to hold a mini Christmas party at my place during the eve and invite some of our close friends over. We suggested to have a potluck in which we prepared some salad and fruits for the occasion. We also got ourselves some mini logcakes for the mini party of 6 pax (err... 6+1 baby)! :)

We had pizza, satay, otah, chicken wings, salad for the party...! :p~~~
My GF even bought a small Christmas tree and CD. Cool... Not forgetting my Rudolph deer (free gift some time back, still very cute though)! Ha...

"Little Red Nose", Christmas CD and Tree

Mini Logcakes for Mini Party
We had food, drinks and fun on the Christmas Eve party... (but did not actually count down :p) But as what one of my christian friend said previously... Christmas parties are really meant for non-christians. Ha... He and his fellow christian friends go to church not bashes. Oops...

Hmmm... guess it's just a holiday for people like us to party...?
Nevertheless, Merry Christmas to everyone out there!

Our Wedding Rings

We finally bought our wedding rings 2 weeks ago. Though our wedding is not till next year, we decided to get them anyway.

Marriage... It's something which I cannot image myself getting involved even when I dated my GF in our first few years. We have already been seeing each other for 5 years. It's only in the past 1 year when I started to feel that I'm ready for it. Getting old huh...? Time to settle down? Or confirmed that she is the ONE? Well, there was no doubt about her as my destiny, I guess it was about the timing.

Looking for the banquet venue, bridal shop, wedding rings etc has been tiring... but it does give you the "wedding feeling". I no longer has that resistance feeling towards marriage.

And when we finally got hold of the rings with our names engraved on each other's ones, I feel a sense of responsibility and happiness... This lady is going to be my wife!

Hers and Mine
I never wore a ring before... but I might just get hooked on wearing this in the future! I do... (Ha... practising for the real thing :p)
Err... still owe her a diamond engagement ring... Minimum 0.5carat?? *Fainting*

Getting Fat...

I always consider myself thin. The word "Fat" had never been a friend of mine irregardless of how hard I tried or eat.

I recall there was once when I had a medical checkup back in primary school, the nurse wanted to see my mum just to be sure that I was given enough food. Ha... ill-treating?!? My brother and I were both skinny, so I guess it's in the gene.

I was not too concern about this till I got older in tertiary studies. Hmmm... most probably trying to attract the opposite sex... I dislike being call "Skinny Monkey". I tried different means to gain mass or weight. Eating suppers, lots of eggs (egg overdose!) and even protein powders which are usually taken by bodybuilders! My mum was never agreeable with me taking those protein powders. Sigh... all failed... Perhaps I was still playing lot of soccer back then or I simply can't have more "meat".

The turning point came when I started to date my GF few years ago. I started to gain some weight... There was once I gained 10kg in a year! That's a personal best record! Hmmm... wonder it's because of all the food I got from my GF's share, the beers, less exercise or my metabolism rate going down?? My GF always like to try different dishes when going out. So she ordered a lot of food to try and I ended up eating most of them since I do not like wasting food... She always prefer me to gain some weight and looks more "chubby". And she is always trying to get credit for making me looked better (fatter) now.

Well, initially I was also glad that I finally started to put on some extra weight because I was too skinny last time. As the number keep going up, I started to feel that I have exceeded the limit. As stated in the first sentence "I always consider myself thin", now I feel I'm a bit fat! This is especially felt when I ran my 10km in Standard Chartered last few weeks (I fared badly, or cos I never trained?). To lot of people, they will be questioning or cursing me if they see me "Are you sure you are fat??!!". Well, perhaps the definition of the word vary between people. I'm just not used to be having tummy and a chubby face all my life. And when a friend who I did not meet for a while said that you looked different (chubby?), you know you are...

I was making a new passport last week. The new Biometric one because my old one is expiring and nowadays you need this to travel to States. I was submitting the application online and sent my older photo which I looked ok. Damn... the photo was rejected! Said that it's too blurry and require recent photo. Did they know that I looked a bit different now?! I went down to the Immigration Office during my off day to settle the remaining application. I insisted of having my hand picture on the passport like the one on my blog profile... (Ha... good try??! Joking) I took a photo at the instant photo shop there, submitted and finally collected my new passport that day.

Guess what... I looked awful in the passport... and I have to bear with it for the next 10years...

Now I'm more determine to lose some weight....

Fann Wong - Singaporean Actress

Hmmm... I always support and promote Singapore as a country... So Singapore women should not be exception as well... :p

You might be familiar with Singaporean actress Fann Wong who starred in Jackie Chan's "Shanghai Knights" last time. Way to go for our actress to be on a Jackie Chan's blockbuster movie!

Fann Wong (Pic from AsiaOne)
Was planning to show her hand only... but guess no one has objection to see more...? Err... just a little more only. (Dun pull my ears... Dear)

Rainy Days

It's the time of the year when it rains often and the weather is generally more cooling. This is Monsoon season blowing from the South China Sea. It has already been raining for the last couple of days. It rains and stop... stop and rains...

I still remember when I was young, I like to be caught in the rain. It's the only time when I have excuses to "play" in the rain. The feeling of running in the rain was fun as raindrops hit onto your face. I enjoy the sound and smell of rain as well. So relaxing and refreshing... Similar feeling to listening to the sea waves. Sometime I would buried myself under my blanket, best timing for a cooling nap.

Things have changed a bit... Nowadays I tends to avoid "playing" in the rain as I usually get headache after that. It also used to get some floods at Bukit Timah area whenever it rained heavily, that too has changed since they improved the drainage system. But one thing did not change, I still enjoy the feeling that the rain brings to me... Good for therapy. I even tried to find a CD with sound of raining! Let me know if you have any recommendation. :)
It rains day and night.
While others usually have snow for Christmas, well... we shall have rain! Ha... :)

Terminal 3 - Sneak Preview

Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.

Though it's not in full operation yet, I pay a visit to the airport terminal for some sneak preview in what suppose to be bigger and better than the first two terminals... T3 is designed to handle A380 carriers.

Let's have EPL soccer here?!

Departure Hall looks most impressive.

Spacious, high ceiling (Departure Hall).

Go Green! Lots of plants
It's designed such that Transit area can be seen from outside.
In case air-con is down? Ha...
Arrival Hall

Hmmm... New hangout...?

Welcome to Singapore! Check it out...!

I Survived... the Run...

If you remembered, last Saturday I mentioned going Standard Chartered Run this weekend. Even for the 10km(shortest distance), it seem Mission Impossible for me this year though I managed that last year. For the past 1 year, my training sessions can be counted with my 10 fingers.

Well... Judgement day today... I ran(jogged?), I finished, I survived... Just much slower than last year. :(
U see me?? Oh... Just missed me sprinting past... Ha... yah right...

It's also a family event.

Where are all the runners?? Runners gathered at finishing point after run.
Taking shade at nearby WW1 Memorial.
Free massage for Full-Marathon runners!
They dun entertain me even when I tried to pay... Ha...
My legs are aching....
Tons of water to feed the whole nation...
Lots of toilets after the tons of water! Ha
It's also a carnival!
Mission Impossible?
Impossible is Nothing... Nothing is Impossible...
My 10km medal! Run your own race...

Impossible is Nothing... Nothing is Impossible... (Like what I mentioned earlier) but my whole body is aching now... Begging my GF to give me massage... for free of course! :p

Unchanted Corners of Singapore?

I was hanging around Beach Road this morning with my GF. It's the road which we will occasionally take to go to places like Bugis or other town area. Perhaps we were quite free today, we started roaming around the neighbouring streets along Beach road like the Arab St, Kandahar St... etc.

Hmmm... found that I did not really visit these area before. A "hidden" part of Singapore I never explored previously... Unchanted corners...? interesting...

A group of photographers snapping at...??
Art or Vandalism?
Along Arab Street - Sultan Mosque and other old shophouses.
Authentic Arabian stuffs can be found here!

Malay Heritage Centre - I did not even know there is one hidden in this area! Very nice environment.
