Atrium Lounge

All time favorite hotel lounge! Atrium Lounge at Marina Mandarin.

Nothing beats sitting in this lounge with a glass of drink and enjoying the music... Life should be this way.

7/7/07 @ Orchard

It was 7 July 2007 (7/7/07). A day when a lot of couples got married because of the all 7s date.
Well, it might have been a good day for me and my GF to tie the knot as well since her favorite number is 7. Hai... now have to wait for another 70 years... (7/7/77) :p Perfect 7s!

Anyway, we were at Orchard road for lunch and watched the Transformer movie.

Sun & Moon @ WheelLock Place

Anyone for free hugs? Freaks on the street?

Any Great Singapore Sale for ERP?

The movie was not bad in term of special effects but seem to lack a bit of original touches. However it still brought back memories of watching the cartoon on TV when I was young. Overall still very much worth the money spent. Autobots... transform!

More than meets the eye... Autobots and Decepticons

Night Tour @ Airport

Last night, my friend and I were hanging out at the Changi Airport Terminal 2. It's the friend whom I used to go together with to beaches . Airport is one of our favorite night spot; it gives you the spacious, quiet, cool and "oversea" feeling. And perhaps air-stewardess to admire? Ha... Also it's damn warm last night so we decided to go somewhere that has air-con. We catch up with each other and he was very excited telling me the movie "Transformer" he just watched recently. Sounds very impressive; anyway my GF and I already had plans to catch the movie over this weekend.

We were sitting at McDonald to have our dinner at 12midnite. After that, we just strolled around the area. Not much student studying at the airport like it used to be. Maybe it's not exam period yet. Exams... what a nightmare... Ha...

We did not hang out too late but we will definitely be back again next time.

Sorry guys, no picture of stewardess... Next time.... I promise I will try... :)

We need to WIN something!

A centre-back... A striker... A left-back...
Younes Kaboul... Darren Bent... Gareth Bale...

Spurs have so far signed 3 players during the summer transfer window which have cost a total of over 30Million pound. What we still lack is a natural left winger to fill up the problematic attacking left zone. We have been searching for that since last season, so hopefully we can get some answer before the start of the season.

Having maintain 5th position again last season and spending so much at current transfer window, it is natural that the expectation for the team will be sky high this coming season. Now I would say that the minimum requirement will be Champions League position finishing and a cup win . We need to win something! Premiership title is unlikely... So realist target will be FA cup, League cup or UEFA cup.

Please... get us something to celebrate about. Been a Spurs fan all my life, I have been deprived of success and celebration for many years. We need to WIN something now! It will be disaster if things on the field do not work out well. We then can start to expect players like Berbatov, Chimbonda or Defoe to start walking out of the club... A chain of disasters will follows...

So... Come on you Spurs!

Engineering is OUT

I just found out yesterday that a colleague of mine has just quit and will be switching to another field. It is another case of getting out of the Engineering field to pursue "better" career in other sectors. I have already seen a couple of cases since graduating from University. Was studying engineering a mistake? Money-wise... perhaps.

Well... I have long come to understand and realize the fact that staying in Engineering will not get you rich... Like we always said "Eat not full, Starve not die" in mandarin. And we also always got the remarks that engineering guys are square -nutty. I knew my GF, who was my course mate, from my uni time. She too had already switched to non-engineer job 2 years back.

Why did we study engineering in the first place?? When I looked back, it seem like a conspiracy... People was encouraged to study this field. "Good Career, In Thing" kind of messages. A plan to produce more engineering expertise so that investors will come here? With abundant of engineers, cost of employing one will be lower. Again, a matter of supply and demand. At governement point of view, this is not wrong and perhaps a good move. Unfortunately, I happened to be one of those been "conned".

But to be fair, I would be clueless if I had not chose engineering back then.

However, I would think that it might be about time to move on. Set up own business? Or maybe before I can decide, I might already be on the next retrenchment list...

Bent for Spurs

Yes, it has confirmed. Darren Bent has signed for Tottenham Hotspurs for $16.5 Million pound.

As a Spurs fan, I glad we signed another quality player. I have no doubt that Bent will be a good signing having seen him played before. But does he really worth that much? That's the question everyone is asking. We signed Berbatov, who is clearly a class player, for just $10.5M a season earlier. Does that signal that Bent is much better than Berbatov? I doubt that though...

I guess it's a matter of supply and demand. Should Spurs had waited or refused to Charlton's transfer fee demand? Having the risk to lose out the opportunity to get a player like Bent to other clubs like Liverpool?

Only time will tell if the Board and Martin Jol have done and paid the right price...

Come on you, Spurs...!!!

After Shock Party

It was an ex-schoolmates outing planned some time back. We are going Botanic Garden for picnic. It happened to be the family week where a film fest was also organised. "Happy Feet" was the movie.

A day after the "Car Shock", my GF and I were preparing (sandwiches) our share of pot-luck for the outing.

It was very crowded at the park but great to see families enjoying themselves together.

We had abundant of foods from fried rice, hotdogs, sandwiches, curry puffs, tidbits, fruits and drinks... What a picnic?!

At the end of the day, we enjoyed the movie, the foods and the ambient. It's quite fun to catch a movie while laying around in the park under the moonlight... though I saw the movie before.

Perhaps I personally cherish the occasion more now that we just survived an accident...
